WANT TO BE A PART OF IT ALL?
We've got a great neighborhood and community of people, businesses, schools, elected officials, beloved pets... and more. But this only works if people are involved. If you want to be part of our mission to support the community, here's a few ways to do that.
We are an inclusive community and therefore want anyone to join in our activities whether they are paid members or not. For those who can afford to chip in, by paying a small fee you are allowing us to provide more and better service to you and your neighbors. All of our board members and committee members are 100% volunteer so any money we collect goes straight to the organization.
An annual $25* membership per household lets us:
Host regular events (Block Party, Summer Party, family activities, trivia nights and more...)
Cover costs for printing flyers and other communications
Maintain this website and other digital channels
Sponsor our local schools and other community groups
Beautify the neighborhood with regular clean-ups
As we continue to raise money some future benefits will include:
Host more and better events
Member only discounts at local businesses
Branded banners on light poles throughout the neighborhood
Smaller members only events
*If paying by credit card or PayPal we ask you to add one dollar to the cost to cover fees.
The below committees were created to provide the most value to the community. Our philosophy is to enlist people who are interested in specific areas and have them focus their efforts there rather than try and have everyone involved in everything. If you would like to lend your talents and time to one of them please let us know.
Bring people together and develop friendships by planning events that are both family-friendly and adult only.
From the block party to a bar trivia night we're planning lots of ways to socialize, but it takes a lot of work to make this happen.
Provide the neighborhood with updates on safety issues and events, and make sure it’s a two-way conversation.
Help maintain this website, social channels (Facebook, Instagram), monthly email newsletter and flyers for larger events.
Work as a community to keep our neighborhood streets clean with a long term emphasis on beautification.
Join monthly neighborhood clean-ups and other opportunities to make Horner Park a place people want to visit.
